Peter LeGrand, award-winning photographer and tenured professor of photography at Columbia College in Chicago, presented his figure studies at Fort Dearborn-Chicago Photo Forum on March 19, 2010.

His photos illustrated an artistic use of lighting to bring out the shape and texture of the human form.  Many of his photographs were abstracts created from isolating various parts of the body.  His outdoor images, showed the human figure in a natural setting.  The juxtaposition of the figure against the textures of grass, trees, mud and water provokes the senses.

Le Grand’s photos have been exhibited in galleries and published in national magazines including Viewfinder and Nude.
